These terms and conditions apply to the use of the website lovebuiness-hatefraud.org.uk (“Website”). They should be read in conjunction with our privacy notice and cookies notice.

References to “we”, “us” or “our” means Fraud Advisory Panel (registered charity no. 1108863 and company number 04327390 at registered office Chartered Accountants’ Hall, Moorgate Place, London EC2R 6EA.)

This website has been launched by Fraud Advisory Panel in collaboration with Barclays. This website is owned and operated by Fraud Advisory Panel.

By accessing any part of this website, or opening emails, you shall be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions in full.

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England & Wales and the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

Fraud case studies

Where you are happy to provide a case study we will contact you by phone or email to discuss your story and its possible publication on our website.

Where you agree for the case study to be published, it will be placed on our website and linked to via our social media channels. Please contact us if you want any changes to be made to the case study post-publication. Please be aware that it may take some time for any changes to be made.

Fraud poll

When participating in the interactive fraud poll on our website, all information submitted will be anonymous and used on an aggregated basis.

Personal data

We will only use your personal information as set out in our privacy notice.

Intellectual property

The copyright and other intellectual property rights in all material and content on this site including photographs and graphical images and the organisation and layout of the site, is owned by Fraud Advisory Panel and/or their licensors, unless stated otherwise.

Guides and checklists are published under a creative commons license. We encourage you to share, copy and redistribute these in any medium or format for non-commercial purposes only, so long as attribution is provided. Events terms and conditions

Registering for an event

Booking confirmation will be sent to you for all online bookings. Please note that we can only process your booking if you have provided a valid email address.

If you have not received an email confirmation within 48 hours of making your booking, please contact [email protected]. If you cannot attend an event, you can transfer your place to another individual or organisation. Places can be transferred at any time up to and including the day of the event.

Attending the event

It may be necessary for reasons beyond our control to change the content and timing of the programme, the speakers, the date or the venue at any time prior to the event date.

External speakers alone are responsible for the content of their respective sessions. It is our policy to give the fullest freedom to contributors/speakers to express their opinions. The opinions expressed by the speakers do not necessarily represent the views of Fraud Advisory Panel or Barclays. Our speakers will make every effort to ensure the validity and accuracy of the information they provide.

We reserve the right to film, record or photograph any of the speakers at an event for post event purposes. This includes (but is not limited to) making the webinars and virtual events available on-demand afterward on the site.

After the event

At the end of the event a feedback link will be posted in the comments box. We ask that you please take a few minutes to complete this as it allows us to continue to improve and tailor future events more closely to your requirements.

Cancellations

If we have to cancel the event, our liability in the event of cancellation is limited to a full refund of the event fee only. We will not refund any travel or hotel costs associated with the cancellation of an event.

We accept no liability if an event is cancelled or postponed for reasons beyond our reasonable control resulting from an act of God, governmental regulation, fire, war, terrorist activity or civil commotion.
